Synopsis

Karamakate, a powerful shaman and last survivor among his people, lives in isolation in the remote depths of the jungle. Decades of solitude have made him a chullachaqui, an empty shell of a human being, deprived of memories and emotions. His life is overturned by the arrival of Evans, an American ethnobotanist searching for the yakruna, a highly potent and sacred plant known for its dream-enabling ability. Together, they embark on a journey to the middle of the Amazon Basin during which past, present and future become intertwined, allowing Karamakate to recover some of his lost memories.
