Before the screening of the most emblematic film about war by Stanley Kubrick : FULL METAL JACKET

 

Attend the lecture given by THE Stanley Kubrick specialist. He is going to talk about the war in the six films of the restrospective "WAR AS SEEN BY STANLEY KUBRICK" : "Fear and Desire", "Paths of Glory", "Spartacus", "Doctor Strangelove", "Barry Lyndon" and "Full Metal Jacket".


Michel Ciment is a writer, scholar, journalist, radio producer and cinema critic. He is chief editor of the magazine Positif and a producer on the France Culture radio channel ("Projection Privée") and also collaborates on the "Le Masque et la Plume" broadcast (on France Inter radio) where he is the most senior broadcaster. He has also written fifteen books on the subject of cinema (including Le Cinéma en partage and Les Conquérants d'un nouveau monde) and on great filmmakers such as John Boorman, Elia Kazan, Francesco Rosi and of course Stanley Kubrick to whom he has devoted an entire reference work.
